Tova Brodin is a Swedish artist born in 2000 and is currently based in Umeå. Her work combines a child-like boldness with a touch of naivety and darkness. She creates surrealistic paintings using various media, inviting viewers into a world of storytelling. Her inspirations include Japanese culture, deceptive nostalgia, futurism, and personal experiences of feeling misplaced.
With the help of oil paint, a dash of creativity and zero art school credentials she hopes to challenge the idea that there is always more than meets the eye.
